Owner, Chelsea Munizzi left the fashion industry after 6 years of working at Forever 21 and other small retail stores. Craving something new, she began working at a marketing agency doing social media. While working at the agency, she missed the excitement of retail and the fashion world as whole. After many friends and family convincing her... she decided to start an online boutique on February 7, 2017 while working full-time at her 9-5.

With the help of her family and friends, Chelsea started doing pop-up shops in Downtown Deland, FL and built a strong local audience. Fast forward a year later, she quit her salary job to open her first brick and mortar on July 14, 2018 just a few blocks away from where our first pop up shop was.

It was a fun and wild ride! Our customers were thrilled to finally come in and shop face to face. The brand continued to grow each year while the online team  shipped hundreds of online orders daily across the nation!

Little by little we expanded and on November 15, 2021 we excitedly announced the opening of our second location in The Tanger Outlets of Daytona Beach, FL!

The future is big and bright, as opportunities continue to grow and Shellsea reaches customers all over the nation. This is just our beginning!
